Over 10 years ago I used to work in downtown West Palm Beach and we would go to Chopsticks for lunch or dinner and always enjoyed it. Friday night we were in downtown and decided to stop for dinner. We were shocked that the place was nearly empty. The table clothes were all stained. The one and only waitress looked dirty. Service was almost nonexistent. The serving sizes were much smaller and the quality of the food has really gone down. I can't believe they are still even open for business. We will NEVER go there to eat again.

Was told food would be delivered in 45 min, 2 hours later it arrived cold. The delivery man called 3 times for directions and I live less than 5 miles away. Who doesn't have some kind of GPS?? The food definitely isn't worth the wait as a matter of fact it stinks. Only wish there was another Chinese restaurant close by. Will never order from them again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place has the best general tsos chicken in the city. Maybe the best ive ever had. Yes, the place is a bit of a dump, but i dont care. Totally worth it!

So I walked in here and I was the only customer, but was too hungry to care so I took a seat ready to eat. Ordered my food and out of boredom decided to now checkout reviews of this place. As I read them I started thinking 'why did I come here?'. Anyway, thought i'd give it a try as most of the reviews were old. Then the lady who took my order brought out some fried wontons to munch on, and as I reached in to grab the first one, I see an ant playing around in there ...gross ...called her to cancel my order! Never going back there ...i think the owners need to read these reviews and the place needs a major overhaul

There is absolutely no reason to visit this roach motel. I'm overwhelmed with negative energy as I recall our experience there months ago now. We were about the town with a jonesing for Chinese. Unfortunately we were in West Palm, which is not a place for Chinese cuisine in general. Chopsticks was open and it was getting late, so we took the plunge, ignoring the warnings we read here. Our mistake. The tables were dingy, the service awful, and the food was vile. I think we were lucky that we were not poisoned by the experience. The health department should probably shut this joint down.

YUCK! I never thought anyone could screw up chinese food but damn!! This place is the worst i've ever had. The food is horrible crap... actually i think horrible crap might taste better than this. I ordered the general tso's chicken combo with dumplings. The rice was the same garbage everyone else who wrote a review described. The chicken was dark meat floating in a soy-like sauce and was tough to chew like beef jerky. I thought the veggies were stir fry but they were actually just old and rotting. Barf. The egg roll tasted really weird almost like it was fried with a bunch of fish. The dumplings were ok even though they were kinda falling apart. The girl that delivered this mess seemed nice but i couldn't figure out why she felt the need to step into my house and tell me about how her and her boyfreind are getting evicted which set a kind of depressing mood for me while I ate. The best part of the meal was the cans of soda and fortune cookies. Chopsticks is a bust and I cant say that ill ever order from here again or recomend anyone to eat here. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!

Ok, I moved here from NYC where Chinese food is not only readily available but it's bountiful and cheap. Clearly I'm not in Manhattan anymore!! I live in Cityplace, was totally jonesing traditional Chinese food, stumbled upon this place and was hopeful at first. Its kind of a dive but it smelled good and the menu offerings were exactly what I was looking for even though the prices were a bit exhorbitant. The service was minimal at best, the wait not so bad but when I got home and started eating I was disgusted. The lo mein and fried rice were basically dowsed in soy sauce as a seasoning, the dumplings not only fell apart before even being removed from the container but they were virtually nonexistent. The soup andongolian beef were bland and rubbery and the boneless spareribs were like a box of little rocks. If you're in the mood for good Chinese, don't east your money here!

Just walked in since I was starving and nothing else was around the area. I glanced through the menu and noticed the lunch specials were all about the same price. I decided to play it safe since the place looked a little run down and went for General Tso's chicken. It came with fried rice and an eggroll. Total price was 6 bucks. The food was ok, the rice was labeled as fried rice but something about it wasn't kosher. The chicken was dark meat drenched in a lot of sauce. You get what you pay for and this is definitely true when it comes to this place. Don't expect a lot and you'll be ok.

I thought I'd ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, but what I received was awfulness. The shrimp tasted like what you think rubber would taste like. I bet it was artificial shrimp, then the rice was not fried at all just boiled white rice with tons of soy sauce. I can barely cook instant oatmeal, and could have done a better job of making SHRIMP FRIED RICE! .

We placed our order at 5:45 PM and were told to expect our delivery in 45 min- 1 hour. After an hour and fifteen minutes we called to ask when it would be here. We were told it was out on delivery. Half an hour later we called yet again and were greeted with what I can only assume was the owner or manager. After telling me I was lieing about when I placed my order she continued to tell me to wait "just 10-15 more minutes." When I started to insist that this was unacceptable she hung up on me. 7:27 (nearly an hour and 45 minutes after we ordered) our over priced burnt sweet and sour chicken and mediocre lo mein finally arrived. We will never give our money to this company again.

We ordered delivery: got the general Tao combo deal, which I recomend. You get the house soup, spring roll, and rice/fried rice with your choice. Reasonable prices! The general Tao chicken was really good. Flavor and dish, I'd give 5 out of 5..and it came with big chunks of chicken And the rice was really good. To me this place had the kind of food that was fresh and they cared about it. The chicken tasted like chicken!! :) which was really refreshing, not the big dry fried and fried again clumps that you usually get at some Chinese restaurants..lol but not here!! The wonton soup was the great, even though it's not something I would normally order. I'm glad I got to try it because, the broth was really good. Spring rolls were thin crunchy and light. Not overly greasy thankfully, like some places I've had. The only complaint was the delivery took 45 min when we live a few blocks away and they said 15 to 20 min. I regretted not picking it up.

Ok, I didn't come here for the longest time because of the Yelp reviews. This was despite hearing raving recommendations from several people that were regular patrons of this restaurant. Upon arrival, this place was nicely decorated with tablecloths and cloth napkins. It is a approximately a block away from the intercostal. I was greeted by a non-Asian staff even though I don't consider this to be a requirement for great Chinese food. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm glad that I did not succumb to the negativity of the other reviews. I'm glad that I ultimately yielded to word of mouth as well as my personal resolve to form my own opinion.

I was invited for a family's birthday celebration. It was a buffet set up. The fried chicken had a weird smell to it, but tasted fine. The noodles were delicious as was the fried rice. The Chinese beef was decent. The chicken (ketchup; I think) based soup was really good. It's owned by a bengali so I have been here a lot of times. The service was pleasant. They were quite slow in my opinion for obvious reason they were overwhelmed by amount of people here

Great place to eat. I am from NY, was visiting west palm beach and accidentally went to this restaurant for lunch. Food was really great. Food items had quantity and the price was not too expensive. To top it all off, the service was great as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat good Chinese food.

Ok for starters this place is just weird. Chinese food with an Islamic twist. Food was ok but service was slower than rush hour traffic. I ate here for it is so close to my office but I lost all advantages of a quick lunch through the slow service; and the place is empty; three tables at lunch. Can't imagine how this place has survived all these years.

Ordered 2 hours ago, told it would take 35 minutes. About an hour later called them again and the order just left would be here in a couple minutes. Waited 30 minutes called again, informed it should be here in a couples minutes. Now it's been two hours and still no food. I am sure it'll be nice and warm if they ever show up...

I have been eating at chopsticks for about 5 years now. Yes, the place is outdated, the customer service is sometimes nonexistent and their delivery service takes forever. That being said, the food is good. I have visited a handful of other local Chinese joints in the area and this place beats them all on food quality and taste. If you are looking for some tasty chinese food, try Chopsticks. You wont be disappointed.

So it's been five years since I went to Chopsticks. Based on my past experience, I didn't want to go, but my friend only eats halal (like kosher for muslims), and he was paying, so he won. Yeah, this is a Chinese restaurant owned by Bengalis, so you get halal Chinese food with that Chittagong touch. We ordered garlic beef, chicken manchurian, some red soup, and rice. It was the combo for two. The chicken tasted really weird-almost powdery?? I'm not sure if it was old, or this is some new cooking trend-but either way, it wasn't palatable. I have had the chicken manchurian from Chopsticks at Pakistani family parties, and it is usually really good. So I don't know if they have a different chef for catering or what. But the restaurant Chicken manchurian was terrible. I then tried the Garlic beef, which was battered beef in sweet and spicy sauce. It was marginally better than the chicken, but it had so much crispy batter that it was basically like eating beef donut strips. The only thing I liked was the red soup. Every time I come here, I'm left dissatisfied and perplexed-I wonder, how is this place so successful, and what do people actually like about it? Am I ordering from a different menu? I'm not really a picky person at all, but my experiences here are uniformly bad. I wish I could write a more glowing review for my subcontinental brethren, but (un)fortunately, my commitment to an honest review must prevail.

Yes, they deserve 4 stars, not the 3, which I gave them last year. This time around I did not dine in. They delivered to our house in Boynton from West Palm Beach (10 stars) based on just that. That's quite a drive and they charge 5-10 dollars delivery charge depending on your location. They had my food delivered exactly in a hour and actually mentioned that time frame when I ordered so that was very considerate of them. When your in a tired or lazy mood this is a great choice because they taste better than other chinese take out places in the area. Compared to last year, I think the cook changed because everything we ordered tasted very good. And everything was packaged very nicely instead of things spilling out of the containers etc. We ordered a bunch of yummy stuff. The beef and cheese wontons were delicious. The chicken fried rice was excellent. The beef Szechuan dish was good but I would tell them next time less onions. Also the chicken chilli dish we ordered was on point as well. Will I order again from them? Yes. Will I go dine there? Probably not because now I know they deliver. Lazy Rabia is here for this yummy delivery.

OMG! I never write a review but this time I had to do so. For starters this restaurants seems to not know what it's doing, I ordered sesame chicken and it was everything but your standard sesame chicken. The chicken was in some sort of brown sauce with a strong taste of garlic, garlic in a sesame chicken that's supposed to be sweet???? Aside from that the chicken itself tasted very old. I also ordered chicken wings and honestly they looked like the seven eleven greasy small chicken wings, oh and FYI I ordered and paid for 6 and got four wings -_-. I am from NYC and I know good Chinese food when I see it and this is not it. Huge disappointment!!!! Waste of money!!!

I wish I could give this place a NO STAR rating because this restaurant's service SUCKS! Today, my co-workers and I placed a delivery order for lunch. Here's the timeline: 1:15 PM - Co-worker called to place our order and told the person that we are located in downtown on Clematis Street. Person who took the order said it will take around 30-45 minutes to get our food delivered. 2:11 PM - Almost an hour later and we still haven't received our food. Colleague called to check the status of our order, the person told her that the delivery guy should be here within TEN minutes. 2:27 PM - Fifteen minutes later, still no show. My colleague called again to see what is going on. The person said "the guy is stuck in traffic". Mind you, our workplace is located right on Clematis which is literally a two minute drive from this restaurant! 2:44 PM - Coworker called once again, irate and upset. The person she spoke to asked her again where we were located. She explained to the person ONCE AGAIN that we are located on Clematis. This person ASSUMED that we were located at Cityplace. Not once my colleague ever said Cityplace when she placed the order. Now they are saying that they cannot get hold of their driver and will call her back. 3:01 PM - The delivery guy FINALLY showed up! Did not even apologize for running late or anything! Very disappointed that we had to wait this long just to get our food. The outcome of food was very BLAH. Egg rolls had no flavor and the soups weren't even hot, they were warm, salty or had no flavor. Never again! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

The food was amazing! For someone who is not really a Chinese fan, I was blown away by the taste. The fried cheese wantons were like no other I have had. The sesame chicken and beef and broccoli were the best I have had! Overall, an unbelievable food experience!

I'm always on diets but Chopsticks Restaurant makes it so easy. Lots of steamed veggies and meat and enough garlic and ginger to make me feel like I ate a big exotic meal. Now if I could just stay away from those great fried noodles and duck sauce.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
